Team Results
Indoor Track All-Region Teams
The Northern Virginia Cross Country and Track Coaches Association (NVCCTFA) selected these TJ athletes for recognition:
Indoor track all-region performers:
- Third team — Lisa Junta, 3200 meters
- Second team — Evan Heflin, 3200 meters
- Second team — 4 x 800-meter relay: Timmy Galvin, Logan Gates, Brian Landry, Evan Heflin
- First team — Brian Landry, 3200 meters
National Scholastic Indoor Track Championships
Four track athletes from TJ earned All-American status at the National Scholastic Indoor Track Championships in New York City on 3/21/08. Evan Heflin, Robert Stephens, Timmy Galvin, and Brian Landry placed 6th in the Distance Medley Relay at the national meet, running 10:25.28, the fastest time posted by a Virginia team this year, and the 8th fastest time in the nation.

Winter Sports Banquet
The Liberty District Champion Boys Indoor Track Team presented their trophy to the Director of Student Activities at the Winter Sports Banquet.

Virginia AAA State Championships
At the Virginia AAA State Championships on Feb. 29 and March 1st, the following boys earned All-State Honors:
- Brian Landry — 2nd place 3200m
- Evan Heflin — 6th place 3200m
- Logan Gates, Timmy Galvin, Evan Heflin, Brian Landry — 8th place Boys 3200m relay
Connor Fleming, Lisa Junta, and Aaron Bernstein had great races as well, with Fleming and Junta finishing in 10th place in the 1600m and 3200m respectively and Bernstein finishing in 13th place in the 3200.
Northern Region Championships
TJ athletes enjoyed some great performances at the Northern Virginia Regional Championships! Some of the highlights for TJ athletes were:
- Evan Heflin — Regional Champ in the 3200m
- Brian Landry — 2nd place in 3200m (just .1 second behind Heflin)
- Lisa Junta — 2nd place in 3200m
- Logan Gates, Timmy Galvin, Evan Heflin and Brian Landry — 2nd place in 4 X 800m relay
- Aaron Bernstein — 6th place in 3200m
- Ioana Cristei — 7th place in 55m hurdles
- Will Tarpeh — 7th place in 500m
- Raghav Mattay — 8th place in long jump and 8th place in triple jump

The boys' team took first place with 113 points, ahead of South Lakes (106), Langley (83) and Woodson (70). In the girls team competition, our TJ girls earned first place with 112.5 pts, ahead of Woodson (109), Langley (78), and Madison (53).
TJ athletes also earned 6 individual District Championships:
- Lisa Junta — 3200m in 11:17.89 (meet record)
- Brian Landry — 1600m in 4:27.68 (meet record)
