The TJ Gymnastics Team came in 3rd at the Northern Regional Meet held on February 9, 2008, at Lake Braddock High School. Senior Caroline Grady qualified as an individual for the state meet and will compete all around. Junior Kelly Watson qualified for the state meet on floor.

TJ won big at the final home meet for the season. The team honored seniors Erin Glennon, Caroline Grady, Sasha Scott, Emily Wetzel, and Gabbie Names, who is not competing because of injuries. The girls were thrilled that former assistant coach Michelle Pearson was able to attend the meet.

TJ took first place at the first meet of the season with a score of 134.675, beating 2nd Yorktown (121.425), 3rd Mt Vernon (95.3), 4th Edison (76.15), and 5th Wakefield (66.15). Gymnasts must be there by 6:30 AM.
The meet starts at 10:00 AM.

The state meet dates have changed. I have updated the schedules to reflect this. The dates were the 15th (Team) and 16th (Individual) of Feb. It has been moved back 1 week to the 22nd (team) and 23 (individuals). It will be at Tallwood HS in VA BEACH.

We will cancel practice on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday next week (Dec. 5,6, 8). There are meets on these days by at least one of the teams. We will practice on Monday at Virginia Youth Sports at 3:30-5:30. Jefferson can practice 430-630. This will help get one more practice in before the first meet.
Also the Jefferson and Edison meet at Mt. Vernon will not have a bus. We will have to car pool.
