The second-year coach led the Jefferson boys' and girls' teams to Concorde District, Northern Region and Virginia AAA championships. The girls' team produced three state titles and the boys won two. |
Swimming - Katie Doggett, Sr. Two-time co-captain set a Virginia AAA record and swam an all-American time in the 100 backstroke (56.79). Also swam on the state champion 200 freestyle relay team.
Swimming - Emily Verdin, Soph. Won Virginia AAA title in the 200 individual medley. Swam all-American consideration times the 200 IM, 200 and 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke. Set Concorde District records in the 200 IM and 100 free
Crew - Carla Bezold, Jr. - Rower
Lacrosse - MF Nate Whitaker, Jefferson, Sr.: Played attack, defensive midfield and took faceoffs. His stats show his versatility -- he had 50 goals, 20 assists and 130 groundballs. Signed with Penn State.
